On my Gilera Runner 125 there is a slight water leak.
On top of the exhaust there is two pipes going into the engine both pipes are "sealed" by a round clip but it seems water is escaping the clip and dripping onto the exhaust and floor.
If I leave it overnight there would be a small patch about the diameter of a cup in the morning.
Is there anything I can use to seal this so that it can be removed should it need be but strong enough to stop a small leak?

I would probably try tighten the clip a shade to see if that makes a difference, if not possible or it still leaks after tightening I'd be inclined to drain the coolant and remove the hose to try and find the cause of it. Could just be some crusty gunk under the hose or something. It shouldn't really need a sealant or suchlike to make a good seal. Just good surfaces between hose and the stub it fits onto.

as standard the runners come wiht very pants clips on them anyway and most of them arnt adjustable

for the sake of a few quid i recomend replacing them all while the cooling system is empty Cool

Had a look again today and it seems to have pissed loads overnight somedays theres hardly anything others theres a large puddle.

If you look in this image you can see two tubes on top of the exhaust pipe, It's the top one leaking what would be best to remove it and retighten it with a jubilee clip?
Also would I need to empty the coolent first?

Seeing that picture I would try a new jubilee clip.
If you are lucky you will not have to remove that hose, just undo the clip as far as it will go and gently widen it up and slip it over.
If she still leaks then the only option will be hose off to have a look.
As for removal, if it's the style clip I think it maybe a pair of side cutters to snip off the securing tag perhaps or a hacksaw to cut one side of the bent over bit
Thats what I would do anyway.

take the pipe off and snip about 2cm off the end so its fresha nd not stretched, then refit the pipe witha fresh jubilee clip and that will be sealed nicely Laughing
