|
|
https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplication.aspx?catid=1&pagetype=65&appid=11&mode=detail&id=12450
The EU already has it.
I think it was imported from Murica.
If you fly a drone it will need to have remote ID that allows others to identify it.
Drone makers will be asked to provide on their devices.
I think there are glue on systems available that would allow conformity for older devices.
It a case of, We now know who you are so we can do you.
But many drone users do not even have the required pilot license to fly a drone.
That is mandatory for drones over 250g (or something)
So if you don't bother with a license you'll not be too fussed about RID for your drone.
So the criminals will go free. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

"Remote ID is proposed to be mandated for all UAS with a
maximum take-off mass of 250g or more, or under 250g with a camera"

CAA will push drones out of practical usage if/when Jeff start using them for deliveries.
The consultation ends in Jan 2024 but my scepticism is tingling.
As with many things it's often a miniscule minority that act like goons that get highlighted and used as the hitting stick.
18,000 reported incidents last year yet zero stats saying how many of these reports were illegal activity. The devil's in the detail.
Drone tracking is a good idea yet it has a limited range of a couple of kms. It won't stop someone from flying in a silly place for a short time.
It probably won't stop many cases as each police force will have to have to send 1 or 2 officers to each report...they'll be depending upon people with a tracking App and I wonder how many workarounds are available to make linking a drone with a pilot nigh on impossible. DIY drones as an example. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

There's no APNR for the skies yet.
But I smell it coming.
It not a fuss. I totally agree with the principles.
Cnuts with drones can be part of that minority who annoy the fuk out of people not interested in dronary.
I don't mind registering etc. I am already done.
The issue is the methods employed to make a device compliant.
DJI have only posted info on US market. (Coz they sul a lotta us dique.)
Nothing for UK eu.
I'm sure it's software download option. But time is running out.
Newer devices will be fitted with OEM.
My DJI will need it. I just like to be infront of any curve.
European and UK are a big market ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |
