My daughter is doing a masters in Forensic Psychology and really needs people to fill out a survey for her data analysis. "What is the research about?
This study aims to further work into whether the ‘sex offender’ label (versus person-first alternatives) will elicit a different response for different offence types (contact versus non-contact offences) in comparison with different age victims (offences against children versus offences against adults). This study aims to further aid the exploration of how labels towards those with sexual convictions may impact public perceptions by asking participants about their feelings towards people with different sexual convictions to see any difference in public opinion.

What does your participation involve?
In this study you will be asked to provide some basic demographic information such as your age and sex.
You will then be asked to respond to a range of statements related to sexual crime, both at the broad level and in relation to individual cases. You will be presented with a vignette (a brief narrative) of approximately 200 words. After reading the vignette you will be presented with a series of questions about the vignette and how it made your feel. After completing these questions, you will be presented with another vignette. There will be 4 vignettes in total that you will have to read and answer questions about."
