how often do you change them?

do you by mileage, age, appearance, recommended intervals?

or just ignore it until the bike starts wheezing Laughing

As per service interval.

Not had to ride hundreds of miles through dust but I'd be more inclined to check it if doing so.
Same goes for deep water crossings.

I cleaned and re-oiled the K&N air filter at 50k (fitted at 2k during a DynoJet Stage 1 tune) although it didn’t look like it needed it. Now at 70k.

The R1 is on its original at 35k and I might have a look at it one day out of curiosity.
