Hi all,

Sorry to open with a request for help but I'm stumped and need some advice.

I am changing the speedo surround on my 72-plate Lexmoto LXR SE but I can't for the life of me work out how to unplug the clocks. The connector is one I have never come across and I can't work out how to unhook it.

I've asked on Facebook groups and Reddit before coming across this forum and can't find any answers. Google, of course, has also been exhausted.

I've attached a couple of photos.

Not sure but in the first pic i can see a bridge with a tapered lever inside it pointing downwards. You should have the same on the other side? Can you push the tapered levers inwards and pull the block connector off?

Press here whilst pulling on the dark grey bit where your fingers are in the photo.

Most plugs have a lever or tab you push down to unlock. Some of the more tricksy ones you have to pull up. The main thing to catch you out with modern plugs is the weatherproofing - the connectors are practically suctioned together.

If tugging on it doesn't work, try a bit of jiggling...
