I need some help bleeding my front brake. The calliper was seized when I got the bike - I freed that and cleaned everything. I replaced the handlebar master cylinder piston and seals. The master cylinder bore looked okay but not pristine. With new fluid I have been bleeding the system until no air bubbles come through. Even when I feel sure all the bubbles are out, the handlebar lever feels no resistance at all - I’m just pumping fluid into the bleeding kit bottle!
I tried a new eBay purchased master cylinder assembly in case the cause was the bore on my master cylinder but that would not pump anything at all!
Any help gratefully received!

I have since made some progress by bleeding the master cylinder reservoir. Removed cap, gently squeezed lever a tiny bit until no air bubbles appeared.....

You have to do the bleed nipple up before you will get any pressure....

Thanks Nobby, yes I was doing that. I needed to wait, have a cuppa and go back to it - that gave the remaining air bubbles time to float up to the master cylinder.

As long as you don't spend half an hour trying to bleed a front brake only to discover one of the banjo bolts wasn't tightened. Ask me how I know Rolling Eyes
