It was similar with my lads moped, he only has his CBT and they asked when did he get his license. Even though "Moped (50cc)" was selected, so we had to give the date he was issued his provisional. There was not even a field for date of CBT certificate |
I have a classic multibike policy with Peter James and on the old fashioned, pensioner friendly paper form, they asked for details of when I obtained my licence, it had boxes for 'provisional, full A1, full A2 and full A'.
I passed A1 two years before A so put both dates down; they used the A1 date. I did query this as 2 of my bikes are 'A' bikes and they were basically only interested when I lost my L plates.
So totally depends on the insurer and how they choose to apply pass dates.
Note: I would personally read 'AM' as meaning 'full moped' rather than 'full motorcycle', different vehicle classification entirely. ____________________ Honda CB125F, Kawasaki ZX6R J1, 1922 Sheffield-Henderson Blackburne grasstrack/sprint |
