Been out on the bike in the evenings these last couple of nights cos I've had a new back tyre on on Monday and I need to scrub it in a bit before the weekend (I'm off to the Celtic Warriors rally in Cambs on Friday).

Anyway, I've been taking it pretty easy with it being a new tyre and all, so tonight I was on one of our local fairly twisty roads, and there's a chap up ahead on a 'ped, looked like a 125, obviously on his way home from work (overalls & steelies on, proper jacket though) doing about 45. Caught him up just before the first of the turns so I thought I'd sit behind him (narrow road, no visiblity, not a fast rider anyway). Get to the bend and bugger me if he doesn't stick a foot down and go round with it just brushing the floor, speedway style! Shocked Then does just the same with the other foot on the next bend.......

I was behind him for about 4 miles, and on every sharp turn (including a side-to-main road junction) down went his foot.

Carried on my way shaking my head, there were no 'L's on the ped so I'm assuming he's passed a test, still wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it.

Fecking idiot.

He must have been watching Rossi on telly at the weekend.

Either that or he rides crossers/trials bikes a lot.

Sticking a foot down can work on a scooter, ever seen the first five minutes of a French film called 'Taxi"?

Thats quite funny. Laughing

On the way home from work Monday night i had a bike following me, i thought he was doing well as i use Twesledown bends everyday and it was in the dark. Thought it was a ped then on the straight he fly's past me on a shiny '04 GSXR1000. Sticks his thumb up and power wheelies off, at over 70. Shocked

I was like Cool

Something similar to this.
There is a guy at the moment going around Cheltenham inner ring sometimes on a 125 supermoto thing, I have seen the ones on the TV racing and they put their foot down and slide it almost speedway style. The thing is this guy thinks he can do it, he puts his legs out and down like the racers but doesn’t do the proper cornering so he just takes it normally looking like a twat. Ha ha

The difference is you can get away with it on the speedway 'cos you got a rather hard wearing steel shoe on your left sole Razz
i wonder how long that kids shoes last for Very Happy
