Ironically the introduction of motorised vehicles in London solved the massive pollution problem caused by horses (poo, farts) and saved lives (falling/thrown off onto cobbles.)

On a surface level JSO etc. are merely Rent-A-Mob but the people paying them represent a modern day version of a Mayan death cult.

Sometimes its the industry trade bodies that force things through because the Government won't.

The time line for the switch over to unleaded petrol was forced through by a man called Lawrence Kemp Saunders. He insisted on a 7 year switch over while Government wanted 10+ years and the car manufacturers wanted 20+.

Lawrence worked for the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. He had the balls to stare down both Government and the Manufacturers, he died 4 years ago and few will remember the things he did.

He did more to clean up emissions than any one individual before or since and yet his name was never widely known and likely never will be especially to the simpletons who think disruption is the way forward. He worked from within the structure and made it bend to his will because he wouldn't take no for an answer.

He did this knowing his sons Land Rover would need work to use unleaded and many of the motorcycles Lawrence loved would as well.
He strongly believed that all car drivers should be forced to ride motorcycles for at least 2 years before they could get a car licence. No bike licence, no car licence.
His thought train was that modern cars had become too isolating from the environment so car drivers needed to learn about the driven environment such as how tyres feel on different surfaces, the feeling of rain coming in etc and this was best done on a motorcycle.

Christ! How much time do you do for a real crime where people suffered injury these days?

Unless there is something they planned that seriously risked lives that is ludicrous sentencing.

I suspect it was a combination of the economic cost, repeat offending by JSO and the fact these buggers just won’t protest truly peacefully. I have no sympathy for them.

So if you don't punch someone it's not a "real" crime?

People go to prison for death by dangerous driving for less time. It's getting like the states where financial crime tendds to be given more serious sentencing time than crimes of violence.

The sentences are high but they need to be initially to have the desired effect.

It could be that the Judge recognises that all custodial sentences in this country are based on lies. He knows that the miscreants will be released halfway through their sentences (or even sooner than that if the Marxistbastards that are now in charge of the shitshow have their way) and has sentenced accordingly.

Point of Order: Sir Keir is always well turned out, has previously had a job and AFAIK hasn't raped anyone so I think it's a bit unfair to compare him to Marx Wink

One of those "yes, of course!" moments, why didn't I realise this sooner.

Starting with the classic "Proletarian Revolution" of Leninist-Marxism one must identify who are the proletariat and who are the bourgeoisie. An easy job for something like the pro-Hamas demonstrations but what of these Eco-Twats Thinking

If you're a person of faith with regards to Climate Change then the proletariat would be all those poor farmers and so on in what's nebulously described as "The Global South" with the bourgeoise being "The West". But if you're pink-hair Cynthia, a retired school teacher from Suffolk, you obviously can't be a member of the proletariat but you can be a "professional revolutionary" leading the vanguard of revolution on the front-line with proletariat following behind.

Simple geography dictates the Eco-Twats won't be leading a march of disgruntled farmers from Botswana through The Mall so the odd thing is we're seeing the point of the spear without the shaft (fnarr, fnarr) Cue "just the tip" jokes Smile

Step away from the internet.

Take the dried frog pills.

Listen to your GP when he says you are mentally ill.

Reading "Das Kapital" qualifies as mental illness? Noted.
