A.I. videos on YouTube.
Get 30secs to a few minutes into the video you discover it's an AI voice reading a script. The penny drops when the pronunciation is wrong for the accent, e.g. a British English voice saying things like an American. It seems even the scripts can be AI generated - the few I've had the stomach to analyse sometimes repeat the same talking points.
I love a good "Why does Namibia have such a strange land border?" video, pub quiz trivia type stuff. Genre ruined ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

Wind tipped over the bike
Looking at my security camera a gust pretty much picked up the bike and threw it to the ground* but not onto the grass, the other way onto the concrete path
Surprisingly... not wrecked! Bar end mirrors are ghey? Well, took most of the force of the fall in this happenstance. Some scuff marks on the plastic tank sides but the bike cover took most of the damage - absolutely shredded now.
So on the minus side: easily tipped over 'cos light bike. And on the plus side: not much damage as bike too light to fall with much impact

What always amazes me about surveyors is they turn up to work in a pair of flannel trousers, black oxfords and a shirt and tie, carrying an iphone.
Whereas I'd expect to do that job anywhere near properly, you'd to need to turn up in a boiler suit or at a minimum some sort of denim trouser, stout brogues and a brown overcoat, carrying a ladder and a flashlight. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. The worst damage on the bike:
https://i.imgur.com/R9DIk0m.jpeg
Other than that the bar-end mirror is scuffed in a couple of spots and its mounting bolt bent. Clutch lever, shifter, foot peg, indicators... all untouched. Quote: | a surveyor wants the wall cavities checking |
Did you ask why? It could be that or the wall faces the prevailing wind and some muppet has had the cavity filled. He/she would usually be able to tell by looking for round-shaped areas of more recent mortar at regular intervals in the joints of your pointing. ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

A friend of mine is a surveyor and dresses smartly to visit clients. Most of the surveys don't need a lot of crawling around, it's basic stuff like construction type, dimensions of both external walls and rooms, windows, and damp checks. If she has to get down and dirty she has an oversuit, a pair of work shoes (and overshoes to protect carpets) in the car along with a collapsible ladder. |

No gas at the moment as the line under the kitchen floor that runs to the boiler and cooker is fractured. There's an easy route to run a pipe through my side alley. Engineer will be doing the work Christmas Eve
The electric immersion heater in the hot water tank hasn't been turned on in years so of course that had a fit and conked out. On the bright side the camping stove I ordered from Amazon has just turned up.
Merry Fucking Christmas. ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

I hate driving/riding between guy faulkes' night and new year. There's something about this three month period that come two types of people.
Dick head drivers racing around on the one half and being generally stupid, and on the other (esspecially mid day) you have those drivers who plod along like long they're on super petrol economy mode, and then counter this to hold up traffic in the middle of the street to let people out of side roads thinking they're doing a 'good deed for the day' when they never looked behind them to see whether a) it was safe to just stop, or b) whether they're causing congestion themselves. and c) causing general confusion because they have to be nice to everyone despite the effect it causes to those they're oblivious to outside their 10 foot forward view only. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11
