A new one to add to the list, from a recent protest:

"Average UK private rents increased by 9.1% in the 12 months to November 2024 (provisional estimate). This was up from 8.7% in the 12 months to October 2024 but was below the record-high annual rise of 9.2% in March 2024."

If you want to know everything that's wrong with the UK economy, you only need to look as far as one of my mates who makes a living selling stuff to people. He's got so good at it (ice to eskimos, sand to arabs, even Harleys to anybody at one point) he now exclusively sells selling. Targetted ads, nuiscance phone calls, spam emails, targetted FB marketing and all that jazz.

His latest wizzard-wheeze is rent to rent. Not actually doing it himself but selling other people the idea and "toolkit" to do it.

I like the guy socially but he's a fucking meance to society.

There will always be people who don't think they should have to work for a living. How else would all those pyramid schemes have existed.

Brothers charged over airport fight with police

'Brothers Mohammed Amaaz, 20, and Muhammed Amaad, 25, of Rochdale, have been charged with assaulting police officers, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.'

'No charges are being brought against any police officers involved in the incident on 23 July, it added.'

Greater Manchester Police have definitively picked a side Shocked

AFAIK this all stems from the lads none to keen on kafirs touching their women. The retention of Imran "Lawrence Lawyer" Khan KC certainly sends a message given said barrister normally deals with more serious matters such as murder and terrorism defence.

The noises out of Westminster will be the thing to listen for.

They were annoyed that the video was leaked: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gx4rn94lzo I think Manchester Evening News told them to do one (at least that's what I heard).

I wonder if Reform and GBoomer News keeping the story alive had an influence.

well we can start by cutting off the heat payment for pensioners in winter months to kill off those that are a tax burden on society, and selfishly hogging entire homes all to theselves.
and then perhaps legalise euthanasia for the ones that are a bit to stubborn to pop their clogs.

Syrians from Turkey? Sure. Syrians from Europe? Why would they give up the European social state life?

He’s in for contempt of court having pointlessly slandered some Muslim kid again. It wasn’t worth repeating except that it would thrust TR®️ back into the limelight. I have a little sympathy for Robinson’s point of view regarding the state of the nation but he’s also a bit of a dick.

He's a dick, but he's the product of the society he was brought up in. The less well educated white british who have to fight for shit jobs with mass migrants who are willing to work for peanuts.

If Labour do one thing properly I would hope they end zero hours contracts and enforce the minimum wage and associated stuff like holidays, sick pay and workplace pensions. That would make cheap migrants not cheap anymore.

However I don't hold out much hope they will deliver because when push comes to shove they'd rather have a multitude of Deliveroo slaves than a multitude of ex Deliveroo slaves claiming benefits.

It's not much but it's not nothing:

Twenty councillors quit Labour in Starmer protest

tl;dr a borough council already shat on by the central party in the past completely snaps. Official line from a Labour spokesperson: "how very disappointing" Rolling Eyes

If tomorrow Starmer says: "I stand with Jess Phillips, she's a valued member of my government" expect her head on a pike before the end of next week.

But the Labour government have a huge problem in that they haven't got a penny of spare cash. Their supporters want everything from child benefit caps abolished, winter fuel allowance restored and every migrant given a 5 star hotel room, 25 virgins and the odd white girl to abuse.

Mick Lynch was on Radio 4 this morning threatening more rail strikes over pay when Starmer thought he’d bought them off already. The junior doctors have also said they’re still not happy. Labour’s idea that they’d settle and ensure stability isn’t working. The “increased funding only if linked to reforms” mantra vanished immediately.

Still no word on how Reeves will encourage growth in the private sector to pay for the Great Big Giveaway.

The kids class mates and teachers said exactly the same thing, but the original judge didn't want to hear evidence from students and the teachers got put on gag orders.

It was a playground incident turned into a grift operation by a muslim lawyer, who had to close down their office cos of their illegal behaviour.

I'm not a fan of 'Tommy' but the lengths the state went to in this case is truly staggering.

Elon Musk has waded in on the "better rapist than racist" debate and is calling for freeing Tommy and jailing Jess Phillips instead. X is now pretty boring because it's all people will talk about. Everyone needs to shut up for the sake of diversity!

Whether it translates to American tourists going "London? Errr... I think it's a city in that rape place in Europe" and holidaying elsewhere remains to be seen but the Elongated Musket does have the ear of a certain Orange Hooligan. It's at least going to get a little awkward when said Trumpeter bumps into Kier "Child Harmer" Starmer at the G7 in June.
