Quite liking any of their 650 offerings and seem affordable with reasonable build quality.
We have a local dealer too in Scarborough.
Except... those graphics Laughing
The classic in black and silver looks good though.
Bit concerned its all internet hype.

The interceptors have a real classic look too.

They are nice bikes. Native A2 compliant so it's not going to tear up the countryside but all day comfotable, very neutral handling and they have a bit of character. They should handle well be because it's a Harris designed chassis, the Aussies are boring them to 850, supercharging them and running them as grasstrack racers.

It's a 270 degree twin so it rides and sounds more like a V-twin, not like the plethora of cross-plane far-Eastern motors out just now.

I found the front suspension a bit clunky and unresponsive but racetech do a cartridge emulator kit and replacement springs that'll sort that right out.

A lot of motorcycle for the price.

I'd imagine they'd let you have a test ride on one.

I’ve been pondering a Triumph 400 but I’ve got more horn for the slightly more expensive Fantic 500 Rally. Not sure I have the space though.

I have the Guzzi V9. I expect that in reality, the bikes are very evenly matched and the Guzzi is not worth a grand more. I bought my V9 for ~£6500 new, which was ~£3k under list price. It was not worth list price.

The suspension as standard was awful. I've put quite a lot of time and money into sorting it. New rear shocks, and two different sets of springs to get it right. New fork springs and cartridge emulators in the front. The front is well sorted, the rear will always be a compromise because there is so little wheel travel. One of the downsides of using a frame design from the 60s with shaft drive, they wanted a wider tyre, which meant changing the shaft drive design, which limited the amount of up and down movement in the shaft, which limits rear wheel movement. Fashion won over performance.

That said, I wouldn't have bought it with a 130 section rear, so fashion had to win.

My personal view is that you have 3 bikes in this class. Guzzi V7/V9, RE interceptor family, and Triumph street twin. The performance and design compromises all sit in the same envelope, so buy the one you like the look of. All of them will be like catnip for old men with beards, if that's your thing.

Lol.. seems to be the case with 90% of motoring hardware these days..

..in my teens biking was properly cool and we all longed for that tight jeaned biker chick like Ogri had(Mitzi?) I got close a couple of times but now it seems like a hopeless dream - the thin thread of hope however is woven from titanium!

Just remember though. You have a GT250 which always was and always will be cool. Ok it's not an X7 but still...

i rode a V7 for a couple of hours last year and really enjoyed it. suspension/handling felt fine to me, but then my current bike is nearly 30 years old.
i would have thought having about 40% more hp and 15kg less weight than the Enfield makes quite a difference too?
