I think I got too old as I just don't understand the Keis Bluetooth heat controller.

It hangs down on the left hand side just like the normal controller and is as easy to use as a standard controller while riding.
It also has Bluetooth connectivity so you can control it with your phone on a phone mount on your bike which is illegal while riding (the required app warns you of this) and more involved than pressing a button so whats the point of it?

Illegal to use in some countries but there are other places in the world Wink You know, the places where the TikToks come from showing accidents after someone's been fiddling with their phone Laughing

'Warm & Safe' do a remote control unit with a simple turn dials on a matchbox sized, erm box that could be mounted on a bracket or flat surface of a fairing. Whether they work with Keis kit I don't know.

Anyone ever tried it?

|I was listening to a presentation by an electronics consultant I know who was asked to design a wifi enabled kettle. Like most people he couldn't see the merit in it, after all you still had to fill the thing then pour it out into your mug or WHY. Nevertheless the customer was insistant and so he developed the thing. To everyone's astonishment it sold - about 100k units!! The reason - witless unimagintive folk with no interests outside work were buying them fo their partners because they could think of anything else they didn't already have. Functional advantage almost negligible..

I have a pair of Furygan Heat Blizzard heated gloves with a battery in each cuff. They’re good. The app seemed cool at first but I don’t use or need it. I could have them activate and warm up 10 mins before a set time every morning but meh! Otherwise there’s a controller on each cuff but they Bluetooth each other, which is nice. I can’t see myself ever using less than max battery (setting 3) even though a boost is available if you buy the glove-to-bike battery cable, but I don’t like being tied to the bike like that.

I have to admit a certain amount of ghey-ness on my part. Last ride out I went as far as zipping up the front vents on my jacket Embarassed

So you can pre heat your heated clothing before you put it on?

That assumes you have a portable battery and don't just connect to the bike and even then the controller is still easily usable.

Sorry if it seemed I was being rude, wasn't meant.

This was first raised with me by one of my riders a year or so back who thought it was a great idea until he thought about it and couldn't find a use for it.
I've thought about it and I can't work it out and no one I've asked can work it out, it just seems utterly pointless.

Even the reviews on SBS say its useless other than people who think you should put the controller in your pocket and then use the phone as it more 'convenient' than reaching down to your left side and pressing a single button. Its like a Wonko the sane moment.

Seems pretty dumb... There must be a use for it.

Turnover & Profit!
Std Controller £38 Vs BT Controller £60
That's just over 60% more and I don't believe for one minute the BT Controller costs 60% more to make.

It's the modern way. Why use a switch when you can use a microprocessor. Same with cars, use a computer to detect you pressed a button which then sends a signal to a relay to operate the motor to wind the window down. When old and outdated systems just connected the down button to the window motor.

It's called progress, get with the program you luddite!
