I recently ordered a Kappa Tanklock plate for the Deauville. Had one on the ER6 for a while that fits perfectly and thought I would fit one to the Deauville.
Ordered it from Ebay, turned up quickly and didn't fit, the bolts are 3mm too long and ground out in the tank. It also isn't a good quality kit, no standoffs to go in the bolt holes of the fuel cap surround so you just have 3 33mm long 4mm bolts with no support around them.

The Kappa and Givi kits are identical except the Givi has the correct length bolts.

I also ordered two kits from Savage in China. As you would expect they were cheaper, included the Tanklock flange which neither the Givi nor Kappa do, the bolts are the correct length and it has standoffs.

What in the world is happening when the Chinese knock offs are better quality than the Givi and Kappa originals?

Maybe they are all made in China anyway.

This doesn't surprise me... the amount of hacking and fiddling I had to do to make Givi's pannier racks fit my DN-01 was ridiculous, and that's not the first of their (ridiculously overpriced) products I've used that didn't fit properly.

I never thought to look for Chinese knockoffs; if there's a next time I will!

I wouldn't put it past them, perhaps they now supply the inferior product to the Western name and the higher quality (or complete) as the Chinese brand, but just conjecture.

If I remember correctly the Kappa range is Givi's budget line.
