I saw Grrr666 about a month before he died... In fact I stayed at his place the weekend.
And since then I have met up at least once with Spudly and his lovely Mrs. Although yeah, even that was a while ago now (over a year) cos I brought her back a Krampus ornament when I went to Salzburg Brick Wall

I did used to see Hoffy quite often cos he was in Essex and we have been very matey for yonks Wub but he fucked orf to the Western Hebrides so I don't get to see him as much as I used to.

Its entirely possible I will be pestering people in the SarfWest this season as one of my mates has recently moved to Warminster so I expect to be spending a bit of time down there. When I was there a month ago I went to some bikery clubhouse in Fareham, which was nice. Not sure who lives down that way but I would always be happy to pester people in person when I am down that way.

I still talk to many of them on a regular basis. However, hardly anyone posts here now, and there are very few that I'd be that bothered about seeing in real life. The BCF Barbecue of maybe 2012? was probably the last time I met new people from here.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

2012 barbie was the last time I met anyone off the form. Jeeze, 22 odd years.

Actually thinking about it, no it wasn't, not quite. I did meet recman when I bought a rifle scope and Shaggy D.A. when he bought my bike lift. The barbie was the last social occasion though.

Apart from that brief aforementioned meeting with Sir Polar of Bear, I've only met one other member when Petalbriefs and I went for a spin to a local bike meet.
A pleasant evening.

Oh (!! how could I forget?!!) I saw Gerry (Nowhere Elysium) about 6 months ago at his mum's 70th birthday.

Before that when he was down from Brum and came with her for a visit to my house, cos his dad was v.v.v.unwell in the hospital down the road from me.

It was wonderful to see him, despite the unhappy circumstances.
The birthday event was much nicer, and he drove me home afterwards.

Not seen him for a decade and then suddenly, twice in six months Cool
He hasn't changed a bit Wub

Gerry is a solid guy, haven't seen him since he defected to the midlands.

The SE group did a few meals in a chicken and rib joint at Lakeside, but I think the last group meet I attended was to a Chinese in Croydon, which was probably 10+ years ago.

Used to see Robby quite often, mostly when he was acting as my bike disposal agent Laughing

Most recently, I seemed to bump into Fizzer Thou fairly regularly, because we both frequented the 1066 cafe in Robertsbridge, the last time being towards the tail end of what was laughingly called 'summer' 2024.

But speaking of defecting, I've recently relocated to Dorset, so it's unlikely I'll be seeing many of my old BCF acquaintances any time soon.

Last time for me was a ride out early 2013 with the south-east Hooning brigade lot before l left to Canada on a trip. I do remeber Hetzer saying to me l would probably meet a Canadian girl and never come back.

He was right about that....
