Bought yet another Ninja air Fryer

QVC are selling them at about £100 off the usual price (model with temperature probe)

I've only started using slug pellets recently, after I discovered the snails had eaten all the pages of my daughter's British passport which had been kept in a suitcase in the shed Rolling Eyes

I hadn't realised I had SO MANY gastropods residing in my garden until then, and they were starting in on my hollyhocks with enthusiasm but I' almost bored of those now, they kept getting so tall they were falling over and resprouting.

I have some nice red-leaved heuchera mixed in with my black mondo grass this year and I know the little buggers like heuchera and sweet williams, which I am very fond of ... so I am making sure they don't get their little sluggy gnashers* around those. Might start saving egg shells and coffee grounds.

*wanders off to google whether slugs have teeth ...

I gave my Ninja away as I wasn't finding much use for it, only used it once in about two months.

It was a double one though, and there's only me here, seems pointless having it taking up so much space when (a) I rarely use it ; and (b) I barely even use the microwave either.

So I gave it to my ex when he moved to Wiltshire earlier this year. He has decided not to get a cooker in his new place, so his bird has had to learn how to use the Ninja/microwave combo Laughing

Do hedgehogs live right in town? I've never seen one either, nor foxes. Suburbia though, foxes and hedgehogs galore.

Rats. Rats are kings of the City. Lots and lots and lots of rats.

We definitely have some of those motherfuckers.

I'm waiting for my Lawrence to invade whatever nest of baby rats he insists on finding every spring and bringing them to eat indoors whilst I sit with my feet up on the sofa shrieking and exhorting him to hurry up and eat the damn thing.

So far the score this year is Baby Rats 0 Lawrence 1. Rolling Eyes

Bought a latest gen firestick to replace the current (nothing wrong with it) firestick.

I may have a problem
But I can handle it
Sniff (you probably have to be old to get that reference)

Just bought a new backgammon set

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07QBZ4K2H/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1Y25RSOEMJXVF&psc=1

Can't find my existing one.
It'll turn up just after the new one arrives of course.

Z Fold 6 has turned up. All the usually faff transferring everything from my old phone. Both Samsungs so a bit easier I suppose.

It's an odd thing. Closed it has a similar screen size to the S25 (and exactly the same software) obviously a bit thicker but only by 5mm. Unlike flip phones it's 100% usable while closed.

Open it has twice the screen size and that means "aware" apps can luxuriate in the space - a web browser feels a lot more like you're on a tablet. Alternatively you can run two apps side by side so you can take advantage of multitasking in a way that makes sense. Not sure how the fold will hold up over time but Samsung were pretty good with servicing when I had a Flip.

Now I'm on a quest to find a decent case.

A kilo of mutton and a kilo of beef, something to make some yummy stew for the critters and myself.

Including a random purchase whilst standing in the halal shop: a bag of dried mango powder.
No idea why. Just took my fancy.
I'll have to find a recipe to use it in now Laughing

a usb wifi dongle, cause the PC my missus just bought of facebook market place refuses to accept the fact it has a LAN cable stuck in it.

A ratchet crimp terminal tool, on acount of me being fed up of fucking around with vicegrips to crimp terminals, and also needed to spend over 20 quid for before 1pm delivery tomorrow of the above wifi adapter so the better half stops sulking quicker.

I used some Wet & Forget on my patio the other day. The instructions say to saturate the area and to simply leave it and let the weather take care of the rest.

It hasn't rained since then and there's none forecast for the foreseeable.
