Only compared to your right wing views.
I doubt most would consider someone who works for the Government, arranging for the payments to multi-jurisdictional corporations to be left wing.

Is Nobby left wing?

Thinking

That depends on where you think socialism is on the political compass.

Why on earth would doing a mainstream job make a difference to your your political views? 90% of people work to make as much money as they can.

His face was eaten by a giant praying mantis. The mantis has now taken over his life and is living as Nobby. Mrs Nobby is none the wiser.

I have photographic proof.

It's a bit of an Oxymoron though isn't it. He's extremely left wing and yet budgets for payments to massive corporations and works for the man.

If Nobby was as left wing as being suggested he couldn't do this job. He has left of centre beliefs but I find it extremely unlikely he is as is being suggested here. He may believe in Socialism but owns his own house. See, even if he was a hypocrite, it would mean I am right.

I believe in something to the right of Attila the Hun (to quote Eva Peron), but it's not going to happen in Britain so I tailor my desires and practices to what I can achieve under a regime I rather despise (Two tiers government). The fact I don't love it makes absolutely no difference to my plans. I will do the best for myself irrespective of who pulls the strings, and Nobby will do that as well, from the other extreme.

It's not hypocritical, it's practical.

Ahhh, that makes sense.
Nobby wasn't a real socialist, that's why his arguments were so weak. If he'd been a real socialist, he would have been right every time.

I'm not sure I'm buying into that perspective.

Home ownership is okay with socialists isn't it?

Owning multiple homes and or being a landlord would be against what socialists stand for but owning a home for him and his family to live in is preferable to unnecessarily taking up social housing or lining the pockets of a private landlord, right?
