I was just wondering what is the most stupid thing you have done on your bike? As i heard from my little bro whos on a 125 BCF that a boy was on his RS125 was trying to keep up with a bandit and the bike just completly cut out he tried to start it and nothing so he pushed it 2 miles home and realised he had hit the kill switch.

Now that just made me laugh Laughing

So feel free to put up any of your embarrissing stories from missing red lights to riding off with no helmet.

Cheers for the laughs!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

To what degree are we talking?

Low end of scale... nearly fell off on several occasions in front of large crowds, including large locked up front tankslapper into college. That woke me up.

Powerwheelied my mates ktm 250 across a field (accidentally) and into a wire fence/tree

Got caught speeding... went to court... that was silly

Tore half the thread off my sump plug so now i cant use the bike until its fixed... not so good.

bounced into a concrete barrier once... that wasnt fun... but i stayed rubber side down.

Wheelied past a police car a week or so ago... Shocked luckily other side of dually at night... They left me alone anyhew.

Oh yeh and only last sunday, some cunt changed my bike to reserves so when i thought... ooooh we are on reserves... it was on empty... Not a happy bunny.

Oh man, im sure everyone forgets the kill-switch atleast once, i have.

10 min's after trying to start it you realise, then let out a big homer style "DOH" in your head while wondering how you could be so stupid..

How about trying to ride off with the lock/disk lock still attached to the bike? ;P Thumbs Down

I can go one better; parking the bike up with an empty tank and then going back to it about a week later and spending 15 minutes trying to start it! Rolling Eyes

I wasn't really paying attention, trying to turn into the university motorcycle bay on the right. Then all of a sudden there is a Catheram (the green, small, low down car), tyres screeching coming towards me. I quickly leaned to the left to get out of the way and stopped in time. Too make things worse he stopped in the middle of the road staring at me for ages, so i revved the engine to tell him to move.

It was infront of a lot of people and i felt like a twat Embarassed. I just didn't see it (too low too the ground you know Smile).

Oh well we all make silly mistakes sometimes.

Probably 168MPH on a public road with cars about - quite a lot of them.

I could have killed myself or someone else, wrecked my bike or got seriously done for speeding.

Will I do it again? Of course I will. Probably tomorrow Rolling Eyes

End of the day everyone speeds, just try to keep it outside the hours of 0900 - 1900, then you are less likely to be raped.

The most stupid thing i've ever done ON my moped was this.

Wheelie Flip <-- Click to watch

The most stupid thing i've ever dont to my scooter was fit a K&N filter to my speedfight 100cc. This was before I understood engines. I stuck the filter straight on, Didnt think about rejetting or even adjusting the mixture. Laughing

A week later it seized.

1) being uber late for a studio session at Mill hill and stranded 2 miles from home, 2 miles from the nearest petrol station with a full gig bag on my back.Bike cut off and checked that there was fuel, checked the choke and stand switch and killswitch. Conclusion was i was out of fuel or carbs were blocked. Phoned up my dad to get a gallon of gas - 20 min wait. then 1 minute before he arrived, i realised i forgot to switch on the reserve Shocked Shocked .Looked like a right twat, so i switched my fuel to off so my engine was reluctant to start before filling up. TWAT

2) Trying to U turn in a narrow country road causing me to go up an embankment, which was an adverse camber, subsequently causing me to drop my bike at 0mph.. in view of Smoto Bob and 89Cbr Chris doing stunts! (area = stunt saturday vid from herts lot)

3) More dangerous - coming home from Box Hill with Claud and Ric down the M25 when they were frantically waving at me and pointing at their rear seats (both of them). I was confused so i thought i had to follow their lead. Failing to realise something, i saw Claud shoot off an exit which led me to follow. Ric was going way too fast to react and thusly, missed the exit. Claud parked up on the hard shoulder where i approached him asking what was wrong with his bike?! Confused Shocked , only to realise my bag had come loose from my rear seat due to the cargo net coming loose. Bag had made contact with the tyre and was being abraded at an alarming rate for 10 miles at 70mph! No wonder it stunk of melted chocolate and capri sonne! Had the bag dropped on the left hand side of the bike then i would have easily had a serious if not fatal accident especially at the speed i was doing! Funnily enough, this was the day after i had passed my test! Evil or Very Mad Mr. Green

1. pulling the bike up at very low speed then trying to avoid a peeled orange on the floor (what the hell is a peeled orange doing on the floor...lol) thinking if I hit it the bike will fall only I was going to slow to turn so quick I dropped the bike anyway......doh

2. Taking the bike to work when it had snowed a little the night before although the roads where fine on the way in the car park was covered, got into the car park thought must be carefull then let the clutch out real slow but even that was too much and the back end just spun it'self around so fast I tried to catch it but my foot slipped in the snow as well so it went down on the right hand side but the thing is as it went down my grip on the throttle revved it up making it go down quicker! it landed on the side repeater and the brake lever snapping it off the rest on the bike wasw fine thank god!

Oh and trying to start the bike in gear with the side stand down I thought the battery had gone flat but my brother told me it was in gear Laughing
