I'm sadly listing my 1997 Yamaha Diversion XJ900 on ebay. I've got a fair few posts discussing it in my history over the last couple of years so apologies to everyone that commented that I ultimately ran out of enthusiasm to get it working again.

Do the people here have a view on how much something like this is worth bearing in mind it needs a bit of work but has original panniers & body panels?

Am feeling sad about this, but also have to be realistic that becoming an amatuer motorbike mechnic was always going to be a challenge unless I was going to get a workshop's worth of specialist tools that I'll probably never need again and in the end I just ran out of puff / had too many other projects going on. Plus, getting rid of this means I can now start looking for something a bit more suited for my specific needs. Are there any other cheap classic big bikes that I should consider? Maybe a Pan European? I quite fancy trying something mega sized for a bit but has to be cheap (can't justify spending real money on the hobby) & reliable.

/Rambling

I've noticed this with other bikes not selling that well - is it because of electric bikes taking over the market & how hard it is to get a full A bike licence these days vs just riding an illegal Suron or even just a regular legal 15mph electric bicycle? Or some other reason?

I guess it's ultimately good overall for most people (better to sell a bike cheaply & be able to get a cheap replacement for little money).
