In an attempt to keep this topic gender neutral I've added "perfumes" to the options so as to include female BCF members but actually I'm only interested in male scents.

What are you currently using and what have you got in your collection?

My current male favourite is Sartorial (Penhaligons) - a stunningly clean fougère - it smells like freshly washed posh boys. Wub

The other Penhaligon male smell which is very nice is Blenheim Bouquet. Very traditional, comforting.

An interesting Parisian fragrance house is called Etat Libre d'Orange, they do some really extraordinary fragrances, male or female. There is one called Fat Electrician which I swear smells of rubber, but my favourite is called Une Amourette (though I think that is actually a female one, sorry about that Laughing ).

Serge Lutens also does "unisex" fragrances in that the range has some very strong memorable smells. Both my favourites: Chergui (leather, honey, cigars) and L'Orpheline (black pepper/smoky/frankincense) could be worn by men (proper men).

I also like Brut Wink

Still haven't tested SAUVAGE , despite the allure of J.Depp Esq lurking about in the ads.

I do hope it's not whatever that nasty smell that quite a lot of men wear too much of (and which I don't know the name of, but it stinks) - I really should ask someone next time I smell it wafting past me so that I can avoid men who wear it.

I see that the top notes for Sauvage are bergamot and peppercorn, so it can't be that bad. With a base note of ambroxan which I also like. Really must test it out.

I'm currently working my way through £5 samples from fragrancesamplesuk.com. Tried about 30 so far. Really impressed with the Tom Ford range. The Bitter Peach- Orange is proper fruity and sexy and keeps making me have sex with myself Laughing Embarassed Mr. Green

None. I find them all offensive to my sense of smell. To the point I've had to get off a train before on account of someone's overpowering perfume. I keep clean and avoid wearing synthetic fabrics.

Samples are a good way of testing out different things. I usually get mine from Luckyscent in America, so I will have a look at that UK site and see what they've got. Thumbs Up

I remain baffled why nobody has created a product that smells of cosmoline (gun grease). Anyone who's been in an army vehicle will know what I'm talking about.

I have a bottle of Hai Karate in the back of my bathroom cabinet but it may be past its best... True!

On a special date I might give myself an underarm squirt of Old Spice, but that's not happened for a few years.. Sad
