Seems excessive for a non-violent crime. People have been given less for GBH or rape.

Given how much a tree surgeon costs these days, community service doing pruning for the council would be more appropriate.

Was always going to happen. If they had got suspended sentences there would have been a backlash from many quarters.

Perhaps more severe sentences should be given for those.

Although Justice is supposed to be blindfolded.

The guy is a dick, always has been, he's known locally (in fact, I know the guy who serviced his chainsaw, met him down the pub the other night Laughing ) locking him up isn't going to change or achieve anything.
