If so how often? How does it affect your life?

Love being alone. Spent best part of 40 years alone on ships.

Gave wifie 3 children then ran back to sea.

When shit pisses me off I go back on my boat.

Sometimes I feel like I need someone, but then I meet up with some of my so called happily partnered friends and think about how wonderful life is being able to do what I want when I want without having to give a shit.

I'm exactly the same. I never feel lonely as I like being alone and (to be honest) I actually don't like "people" all that much, but almost every time that I interact with someone on a personal level or I let someone new in to my life I end up regretting it as they all just bring trouble and aggro into my peaceful little world.

No thanks mate. That's just nasty. I'd rather touch myself than stoop that low...

It's not that I don't like people, I just don't like dealing with their shit.

Once I get behind my front door.. that's it. No one gets in. I pay for it & the few bits that are in it & I don't want anyone telling me this doesn't go there or that has to go. I change rooms/furniture around depending on my mood, the season &/or the addition of something new acquired from the charity shop. (I refuse to buy new)

Who would put up with that? I'm thinking very few/ no one.

Is this the price of loneliness?

That sounds nice.

Would either of you like to buy an excellent Fernwood 60ft liveaboard hybrid diesel/electric narrowboat?

https://bosworthmarinaboatsales.co.uk/listings/days-like-this-60ft-semi-traditional-hybrid/

I can get you a nice discount on the price if you do want it. Wink

That looks really nice but TBH it's way bigger than what I need. Even the one I have at 48ft is bigger than I need. If I was to live aboard I might go bigger but it's more my 'garden shed' for when I need to get away for a few days. Laughing
