Indeed. If I had to get a replacement needle for a turntable from decades ago- it's unlikely i'd get a needle made from then but a reproduction anyway.
And- even more so is the amount of cheap needles being distributed many years ago when vinyls were one of the only ways to buy musak.

Had my new LVT flooring fitted in the kitchen/utility/downstairs loo a couple of days ago and bedroom/hall/stairs/landing carpet is being fitted today.

Will be glad when it's all over every other room is overflowing with crap from the newly floored rooms!

Been on holiday in Mid France for a week. Visited two scrapyards whilst there. Amazing, three peugeot 205's in each one. Lots of 309's, 106's and renault 5's etc too. I picked up a lot of things. Unfortunately though the Buick's washer fluid pump seems to have broken- but I had decent mpg on at least the run down there at 26.

Made some rust removing gel ... totally loved the reaction between the citric acid and the sodium bicarbonate ... well I did, inbetween quickly swithing to larger pots (twice) as it fizzed up ... great fun and it works as well ... result

After an absence of 7 or 8 years, we have the most welcome return of some Pipistrelle bats whizzing around our back garden.
I often wondered if them going missing was the result of my neighbour getting rid of his giant conifer but it turns out they don't live in them.
Not sure exactly why they disappeared but I'm very glad they're back.
