I’ve just picked up my friend from Paphos airport. It’s really busy, loads of holidaymakers pouring in. Nothing to see there. We’re all just buggering on Thumbs Up

It's ok, he'll lose interest after a week or so then claim he stopped another war.

Jeez, that Pete Hegseth ought to take a leaf out of Ian McDonald’s book (Falklands’ War spokesman) and stop getting over-excited. Someone ought to tell him about the Belgrano too.

Fuel prices up already is blatant profiteering. Nothing will have filtered through yet.

No, but they've been lobbing stones/spears/plagues of frogs/rockets/missiles at one another for over 2,000 years now so I doubt much will change in that respect.

"Iran's Assembly of Experts has reached a consensus on who will replace Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - but they say some "obstacles" remain in the appointment"

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cz0g2yg3579t

Once they announce their new supreme leader, how many hours will it take for Israel to kill them?

Declining to take part is the first thing numbskull Starmer has got right. Trump shouldn’t be so annoyed about that, they still got to use Fairford. Can’t they ever go it alone?

The problem is he doesn't have a clue what he is doing. He's trying to keep the great unwashed on side while not looking like hes the biggest idiot going. Either stand up and say 'Fuck off USA' or say, yes, we are with you.

Blair at least picked a side.

The US has never been THAT much of an ally to the UK anyway. If Japan hadn't bombed Pearl Harbour, they'd have happily sat back and watched us become part of Nazi Germany.

Yep, the bastards sold us loads of out of date equipment and ships that we were paying back for the next 50 years. Great allies when it suits them.

Their supposed commitment to the defence of Europe has been shown to be more about them having bases from which to conduct their petro-dollar wars in the Middle East.
