My garden has turned into a killing field. Third time within the past 12 months. Not pleasant to clear up but fascinating to watch.

bought a broken 18v dewalt cordless grinder and 1/2 impact recently for cheap. Got the grinder fixed by replacing one dodgy wire, just the impact to sort now

i wouldn't exactly say it oiled my gears but I am very happy indeed that I DID NOT get hysterical whilst having an MRI scan today.

I knew they gave you ear plugs/defenders but I was also offered an eye mask which really helped A LOT.

Reminiscing with a mate and we were talking about what was the in thing back in the day.. . we came to the conclusion that it was smoking and drinking.

I asked him what seems to be the in thing today and he said.Tattoos and being fat!

I had a nice girlie afternoon tea with three of my old workmates from St Marys Hospital to celebrate a sixtieth birthday.

The girl whose birthday it was had recently lost her mum and the funeral is next week so although we're not going to that (she's a JW ... so we kinda didn't fancy it ) - so we didn't let her pay for her share, and split the bill three ways instead of four. She said its the first time she has smiled since January when her mum went into the hospice.

So we had champagne, cherry martinis, scones with cream and jam, Victoria sponge and poncy little sammidges.

The others all had English Breakfast tea but I had Earl Grey cos I like a bit of bergamot.

Not a bad way to spend a Thursday afternoon.

Well yesterday ... Friday 13th is usually lucky for me, best example was passing my bike test on Friday 13th Novenber 1987.

Nothing happened for February's Friday 13th, but got a text yesterday from my power company ... we've decided to give you another £150 for the Warm Homes scheme.

That'll do nicely, thank you very much
