Hello. I have a 1995 Yamaha tenere xtz750

It started with having trouble holding 3000 RPM with full choke right after starting. The RPM would begin to drop until it was about to stall unless you gave it a little throttle. Eventually it got to the point where it won’t start at all anymore.

I have now removed the carburetor and cleaned it, and it doesn’t look like there’s anything wrong with it. I have replaced the spark plugs, ignition coil, ignition cables, and the CDI box. I have checked that it gets both spark and fuel. I’m starting to give up because I can’t see what the problem is.

It doesn’t fire at all or show any sign that the fuel is igniting. It doesn’t backfire or shoot anything back into the carburetors either.

Help, please. Thank you

Long shot - sure you reconnected the plug leads onto the correct cylinder?

Are the choke valve plungers free and working to let more fuel through?
Also starter spray should tell you if fuel mixture is not getting through.
