I've had a bit of a payday spending spree as its my 65th birthday soon.
There's no other bastard around to buy me a pressie that I would be certain to like, so I bought them for myself My daughter always sends me flowers or a treat of noms, anyway.
Can't remember what I've bought.
Nothing exciting ... some (more) perfume, some books, trainers, maybe a cake...
They'll turn up this week ahead of the birthday anyway but what the hell - I might die tomorrow, no pockets in a shroud etc
I'm also planning a trip to Marseille/Avignon with my Russian bestie, I was gonna go by myself for my birthday weekend but I remembered (thankfully before I booked the flights) that I had a cake arriving on my Actual birthday so I couldn't go.
So we're gonna go later in the year when there's less people and we're gonna take ourselves to a perfume factory on the way.
*hastily adds British passport to the list of necessary purchases* ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

stinkwheel Well I just had my hands up a pigs fanny. Which makes your concerns pale into insignificance. |

An indicator for the Street Triple. Pattern ones match later bikes, not my early bike... so I had to go OEM. I tracked one down but it's over £50 delivered. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

I bought a new keyboard for my PC, as I accidentally drenched my old one in red wine last night and had to do some work on my PC this morning, while the ''wine keyboard'' still wasn't dry after cleaning (membrane type).
I've had that keyboard for 15 years, never spilled anything on it, well, anyway, I've decided to try something "new", so after who knows how many years I got a keyboard with mechanical switches again, the Logitech G515 TKL.
Although I never cared for these things, I must admit, that the build quality and typing experience is much nicer, compared to my previous very budget friendly membrane type keyboard. What's not so nice, right out of the box the keyboard backlight is set to pulsing blue with purple WASD keys and to change that you need their app. I'm yet to figure out how to save my settings into the keyboard so I don't have to use the app (solid red backlight is all I want).
When I picked the keyboard at the store, I knew it had RGB backlight, but my thinking was, I was just going to turn the backlight completely off, can be done with a key combination. Now, the issue with that is, the symbols on these keyboards are transparent in black keycaps, therefore virtually invisible without any backlight. That didn't even occur to me prior the purchase.
TL; DR: I got a new nice keyboard, and I have got to figure out, how to keep the backlight red, with no pulsing nor flashing, without the keyboard's manufacturer's app. Googling around, it should be possible to do so. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ
