2002 Honda Hornet (PC36) 600cc - Metalic Ticking

Hi everyone,
I come here to ask some suggestion about my issue which is the following:

Upon starting the engine a audiable metalic ticking can be heard from the right side of the motorbike, which stay the same even at cold and after it warmed up. I attached two video maybe it can be heard there (sorry for the quallity)

The ticking as I heard match the RPM and can be heard around 3.500 RPM. As of when was the last valve clearance was I don't know, sadly.

Anybody has any guess what it can be?

I mean, you're having to strain to hear that. It's probably a bit of camchain rattle. It's an early 2000s Honda, I'd be surprised if you did NOT get any camchain rattle.

It'll be that the Camchain tensioner is on it's way out. I suspect you'll be able to buy and fit an OEM replacement for not loads of money.

Or, you can fit a manual one, but I don't really like them, and I'd rather have an OEM automatic one where possible, especially if they work for quite a while before failing.

If it gets quieter as it warms up, it's camchain. I'm not even going to bother watching the second video.

If you waited this long to investigate it, it can't be that serious. Fix the camchain tensioner and you'll be fine.

Cam chain rattle usually changes with temperature and revs, so a tick that stays identical cold and hot and tracks rpm points more at valve clearances or a small exhaust leak at the header. A feeler gauge check before buying a tensioner might save you the part.
