I’ve had it with “proper” motorbike boots. For me they’re too heavy and too bulky. I can’t feel what my feet are doing. I have difficulty switching from change down to change up, and I can’t really feel how much pressure I’m putting on the rear brake. But that’s enough of an old man’s moaning, let’s get to the boots.
As a result of the foregoing I have for sale 2 pairs of “proper” motorbike boots, neither of which have had more than a quarter of an hour’s use. I’m asking about 50% of the net (i.e. before VAT) cost, which I think is a fair price for virtually new boots.
The dearer pair are Daytona Arrow Pro Air GTX black, size EU 44. These are made in Germany using Cowhide leather and Gore-Tex. For them I am asking £150.
The less expensive are Gaerne GORE-TEX waterproof, SIZE EU 45. These are made in Italy using Gore-Tex material. For them I am asking £85.
Both these pairs, not being cheapo Chinese copies, are built to the requisite standards of EN 13634:2017.
You probably wonder why they are different nominal sizes. I normally wear size 44 shoes but, due to manufacturers’ variations I needed to go to EU45 for the Gaerne boots for them to be a comfortable fit.
The prices quoted apply when buyer collects, “Try before you buy” is always favourite.
If you are not within easy distance of Bournemouth, P&P would cost between £3 and £10 depending upon your choice of carrier and value of protection.
