GTA San Andreas might well be the very best game ever made. The current state of Cyberpunk 2077 *might* chase it off the top, but it's definitely in the top five of all time. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

I'm having a go at the single player mode of Dune: Awakening.
It's pretty much a cookie-cutter MMO, each zone as different materials: scrap, copper, iron, steel, etc. to gate what you can make. What's nice is there's no stats to worry about as such (there is a stats button on the character sheet but I've never clicked on it). They've made the combat slightly less "pew-pew, win" by leveraging the shields Dune is known for. There isn't a massive variety of enemies to fight, you have the choice of humans or massive fucking great big sandworm. I wouldn't recommend taking on the latter but there's a rush of adrenaline when you're trying to outpace one on foot! Even on a sandbike, it's a hairy situation, and all the best resources are out in the deep desert so it can be a bit Monty Python...

It's all voice acted and I'm sure they've taken diabolical liberties with the source material but it feels very Duney. ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |
