CB's are great looking bikes and by the sounds of things, you got a great deal! 68k miles may sound like a lot, but CB's keep on running forever, totally solid bikes they are.

Enjoy her and ride safe! Cool

They look good, handle well as far as commuters go, are easy to ride, supprisingly sporty on the twisties, brakes are good, enough poke to show up most cars. I gave serious thought to getting one, if i'd seen that one i'd have got it! Thumbs Up

Only negatives are wind protection and the noise of the engine. Though a little money on an aftermarket end can and screen will sort that out Very Happy

Can you not transfer your insurance to the CB and pay the difference? That way you've got the cover and it'll keep going til the original end date, when you'll get your no claims bonus. Then you can either shop around or renew with the same company.

Might be the best option rather than ending the policy or taking another one out.

68,000 miles? That's nothing for a CB5. Agree with all the other posts really, get a screen and some decent tyres and end can. Laughing.

Not the best looking bike (bit sensible for me) but quite a lot of low end torque. Bloody comfy too. Nothing to break if you bin it either.

Enjoy it dude. Thumbs Up

Looks pretty good. Look even better with fatter forks and double brake discs. What other forks would fit the CB?

Funny how things change. The CB5 was top of the commuting/scratching/500 list a few years ago. Good bike and will do. A good rider will also be able to put a few BABs to shame on bigger bikes
