Am looking to do DAS soon, but in searching the forums prices for the package seem to change massively !

The guy I am looking at using is looking at £400 (not sure if this is incl the test) and says it will be 4 days but may get away with 3 days, sounds like a lot of time given I've been riding since I was 16 and cbt is still active.

Wondered if we could list how much we paid, could be good as a reference guide for future too.

I used Cheshire biker training in macclesfield
CBT £100
DAS £400 Est

I paid around the £500 mark for 7 days (2 days free after failing my first test) that was including both tests though.

I did my training with Greg Lamb School of Motorcycling in Warrington, Cheshire.
They are probably one of the best in the Cheshire area.

£115 for my CBT but that was including being FC on the bike all day.
£550 for my DAS including my thoery and test.

£40 odds for a re-sit for my practical but the bike hire and 1hr pre-lesson cost nothing.

That was with J.Harleys in Springburn, Glasgow.

das 120 per day including bike hire, as many days as required with a free riding assesment before hand to decide, test fee is currently £51.

If you book 3 days training then garunteed pass scheme takes effect if you fail for any reason free additional training, bike hire and insurance you only pay for another test

job done Very Happy

Eh, allot! Shocked

£550 plus £50 fully comp insurance for my CBT and DAS courses. This included the theory test fee too. Never took the practical test and gave up for about 6 weeks. Went back to it after spending £60 at another training school on a trial lesson to see how many hours I needed to try and attempt the test. Went back to my first training school and paid another £150 for 2 full DAS days and practical test. Failed that and test number two as well. Third time lucky pass!

So a total of about £900.

I'd spent that much I had to keep going 'til I passed!
I passed with Harleys in Springburn, Glasgow like cc123.

I'd budget for a few days DAS training cos a CBT is so minimal I can't beleive ppl are on the road with one anyway!

I Learnt over a couple of months by taking a lesson every week at £75 per 3 hours of training. was a good way of doing it cos you learn more in my opinion as a days intensive training I'd say you'd switch of after about 2 hours and not actually take on board what you've been told. Mind lots of ppl are different.

The prices on here inc CBT tests and bike/gear hire!
Gonna do the 5 days intensive at 670 quid in september. Sounds liek a good deal to me.
But £470 inc hire and CBT etc for 3 days is a good deal too Very Happy.

My all inclusive price, meaning cbt,das bike hire, training fees, petrol and practical test fee is £560, 5 day course with a garunteed pass scheme, if any of my pupils fail the test all they pay for is another test fee, currently £51.

I cant be fairer than that, my view is they have paid me to teach them to ride safely and up to and beyound the test standard so if they fail i dont charge them again for anything, even if they have another weeks training its all free.

My pupils dont fail because they cant ride, like most people they fail on something silly, ie nerves foot down on u turn even if they been doing them great all week, something happening during the test ie road and traffick conditions etc

Average pass rate first time is very high with 3 or less minors Very Happy

CBT was £112 with bike hire

Theory test was bout £20

Then I got a 125cc for 6 weeks

Then about £320 for 3 day training one on my 125cc and 2 day on 500cc bike
Including test.

For about £450 quid

But as I was completely new to biking I got a 125cc that I had for 6 weeks and I lost nearly £500 on the trade in for me current bike.

So it more like £950

But if you take of the £45 a week train ticket from that time it is only £680

More importantly I am saving my self £150 a month every month in slow crap train tickets so it will have paid for itself by the end of the year easily.

my DAS was £440 all in, meaning CBT one test fee as much tuition as i needed, use of bikes and equipment.

only extra was my theory test.

i was lucky and passed first time Cool had i not though i would not have been charged for any extra tuition, just the test fee.

i couldn't do an intensive course due to work so had a few lessons spaced out.

i learnt with a guy who's company is called RYDERIGHT, top teacher, very patient. Even took me out for a few hours when i got my CBR because i was worried i'd got something too much for me and never charged me.
