A quick question to Honda owners that have HISS. Does the HISS light flash when the ignition is on the "off" position?

Mine did but after unplugging the battery it doesn't anymore. Nothing in the book about it. Rolling Eyes

Most alarm systems (unless they have onboard power supplies such as an internal battery) will need resetting after having their power switched off. Mine did after my battery went totally flat.

I'm pretty sure it does. I would walk to my garage and have a look but I'm feeling very lazy at the moment. If it's urgent and no-one else helps I'll go have a look Thumbs Up

I've never noticed a HISS light... where is it?

Tis quite possible my HISS was disabled when the Datatool was installed anyway, but I'm curious. Smile

it's a little green light with a key image next to it on the far right of yr clocks, really quite tiny. It comes on when you turn the bike on!

On my CBR600F sport I have not seen any lights for HISS and I've had the battery disconnected as well.

But I need to get another HISS key as they only gave me one Sad

Yes the HISS flashes when the ignition is off. The manual says "The immobilizer system has such a function that keeps the immobilizer system (HISS) indicator blinking at 2 second intervals for 24 hours. This blinking function can be turned on or off".

You can turn it back on if you wish. There's probably no point in me putting the instructions down from my manual as I'm sure they are different from my last bike.

As long as the bike starts I wouldn't worry about it. It's a transponder in the key so if it starts ok then it's all working.

Cheers guys, dainesefreak you are correct in that it has the option to have the LED flash or not by holding the clock key for 2 seconds.

!!Note to self must read all of the book and not just the pages with pictures on in future!!
