brake caliper painting

my rear caliper has seen better days and as i have been working on it old paint has been flaking off it from where brake fluid has got onto it in the past, as i am overhauling the brakes i thought i should paint the calipers to get them looking good again, they are black so was thinking about using a hammerite typr spray on them, has anyone had any experience of doing this and warning if any

Well, it needs to be of high temperature paint because the calipers will get hot from lots of braking and there's actual caliper paint that you can buy at Halfords for doing this.

I did my ZX10 calipers with aerosol type 'Smoothrite' (hammerite but smooth finish) and they lasted ok, they don't get that hot that the paint will blister and the finish was good from the tin.
