No, there is no legal requirement to have mirrors fitted to your bike.

hmmmmmmm

i broke my left mirror

well i didnt , i went to get her warmed up this morning and found it on the floor it had snaped from the metal the only reason i can think of is it was very windy last night and i had a fence 2 be 4 laying next to my bike so i think that could be the reason ?

It could have been a bit of fence or a massive rolled up carpet? Ermmm, okay, surely you can tell the difference between a rolled up carpet and a bit of fence? Laughing

I don't quite see where a massive rolled up carpet might have come from but if there are winds strong enough to blow the fence down then it could break your mirror off if your bike is next to the fence.

Riding without mirrors is a good way to learn how to do your observations and lifesavers properly.

I will be riding 150 miles down the M6 on Thursday with no mirrors.
