Hi, just wondering what you lot make of the Triumph Daytona 600? I mean which would you go for, the Triumph Daytona 600 or the Honda CBR 600 RR??
The Triumph Daytona 600 with its beak shaped ram-air scoop looks like its meant for the yellow ranger... hmmm... GO GO Triumph Zord!

Well??

I would definately take the Honda, if not for any other reason, then simply because of the reliability and the range of available official support and servicing.
Don't know about you back in UK but out here, I haven't seen a single Triumph around (nor any official dealers for that matter)...

But who am I to judge these beauties anyway...

AFAIK new Triumphs generally are quite reliable.. it'd have to be test rides of them (and the other 600s).. but then it's not like I'd buy a new 600 anyway Smile

Well if I wanted to be different I would have to go for the Triumph, just imagine how many new CBRs are gonna be sold.
I have to say that the redesign of the Daytona is a massive improvement, but the CBR still looks more impressive with sharper styling and the underseat exhaust.
And is it just me or are both those pics^^ of the daytona 600 exactly the same, only one has been stuck on a racetrack background.

well i prefer the triumph!

however the cbr is much more tuneable!

as the trumpet is already quite tweaked just to compete with the stock

competition!

New cbr's under seat exhaust looks good though!

Assumming it's a proper track and not a Kart track... it's also bloody big!... ie the bike's probably about 6' high.. which I could see causing handling problems.

The Daytonas are supposed to be very torquey, and will keep up/beat other sports 600s in the first few seconds, but will lose out to the top speed.

I would pit the Dayton 6 against the CBR6F, rather than the CBR6RR...given the choice between the RR and Daytona, I'm afraid that I'd have to say the Honda...but if it was the F, then I'd be tempted by the Triumph.

I prefer the Triumph to the CBR. I love the CBR's but not too keen on the newer one's. Hate the back-end. The New CBR6F will be nice!
Def the Daytona though! Best of British.
I didn't know they were doing a 600 though!!

Errr... ?? this is the new one I presume?
Everything I've heard about the old ones has said that you really need to rev it because it hasn't got much low down power Confused

Hi

Plenty of the Triumphs are built in the UK. Alot of it is built in house.

Personally I am not that keen on the CBR. Finish is alot better but it has never been great on the CBR600. Also, there are loads of them around

All the best

After seeing them both in person today I'd still choose the Triumph. It look more 'different' than the CBR, which is joining the hypersport Kru along with the R6
