Going for the ZX6R.

A 600 sports was not what I originally wanted, but insurance on VTRs, TLs etc was just riduculous.

So, found one that is a year 2000, 25K miles for £2,500.

I took a slightly older model out for a test ride and loved it. So much more omph than the fazer. I had been told that I would only feel about 10-15% more power in a sports 6 to my fazer, but whatever the real figure, it feels about 200% better. Just taught, leath and ready.

Much more fun.

Need to get bank loan sorted and all the details, and hopefully pick something up either this weekend or next.

Yay!!

Anyone want to buy a Fazer 6 1999 model, vgc, slight fairing damage, full service history, 10K miles? Whistle

If anyone is really bored on photoshop, I'd be keen to see the attached in glossy matt, with white tyre paint, a white stripe on the rims and some white decals on the belly pan. Not keen on attached paint-job at all.

I would try find one with less miles. Oh, and make sure the valve clearances have been done. Due every 8k miles.

You'll love it mate, I love mines so much I went home and got it at lunchtime so I can take her out after work, even ditched my burd tonight so I can play in the sun! Thumbs Up

It is high millage the one I'm looking at, but it is also relatively new for the money. From Autotrader, it looks about on the money, but do we reckon it is not a good deal?

Thanks for tip on valve clearances . . .

Colin, how much do you want for yours? What are the details?

That's quite a lot of miles for a 600 sports? If it was under £2000 it'd be worth it IMO. Confused

Aslong as you are happy. Thumbs Up Very Happy

I got my zx-6r F1 model a couple of weeks ago with 30,000 miles on it for £2000. It was from a dealer so I'd expect to pay more.

It is in amazing condition. I had spoken to to previous owner and he had loads professionally resprayed. Its in better condition than the 4 year old NSR125 I part exchanged it for.

Great bikes, I'm glad I chose it now. It's NOT green by the way and its still fast!!! Laughing

F1 models started from 1995 onwards I think, you'll get an F3 model on an early R-1998 plate. Then it changed to G1 for 1998, G2 for 1999, J1 for 2000 to 2003.

6 pots, lighter more powerful for a G1 and 2 models. The J1 got up-dated headlights, tiny bit more power and a little lighter.

Think so, there was the J1&2 for 2000-02 I think, forgot it changed for the 636 version but it was only the engine that changed. The bike looks the exact same.

In that case it is a J-1 I am looking at for 2.5K with 25,000 miles. Just for everyone's interest. Or boredom.

Thumbs Up
