How many times did it take for you to pass your test?

Well please dont laugh but if you want to go on!

I failed my cbt on a yamaha sr125 twice, now thats £80 a pop.
On my first cbt i was so bad they didnt even let me go on the road which was good cos i was shit scared anyway.

The second attempt i crashed into the back of my instructors bike at slow speed like 5mph!! Embarassed

Damn i was so crap! Mad

I went back for the third time and did the cbt on moped, i just couldnt get the hang of the gears and i didnt fancy failing a third time, and yes i passed the cbt on the ped.

A year later did my full test and passed first time!! Smile

Now nearly 5yrs later bikes i ride feel like they are part of my body and feel insync with me just as your arm or your eyes do!

How did you lot do when you first did your test/cbt or first started riding?

CBT was only just passed first time on a CB 125 (I don’t know how much of the pass was due to me at one point picking up the bike to turn it about for another go at the U turn and the instructor not wanting to piss me off) well he dint know I was a soppy sod

Bike Test first time (I nailed the U-Turn and the Stop and just knew I would pass so all my nerves just disappeared)

Car test first time

I am a lucky SOB when it comes to test and hasn’t failed one yet be it driving or academic…. Not that I take many test mind you )

First time car and bike. That was despite hitting the kerb whilst reversing round the corner and nearly dropping the bike.

Started riding at 16 (1991), CBT was no problem, applied for my test at 18 and passed first time on my RG125fun (no lessons), moved up to KR1S, ZXR400, ZXR750 then sold it in 2000 and passed my driving test 2nd time age 25 (failed the first for speeding!). Had lots of Renault 5 turbo's and at the moment a Supra twin turbo, now at the grand old age of 30, just got me self an NSR250 for a bit of weekend fun and track days. Will probably sell the Supra this year and get a big sports bike instead.

First time Car and first time Bike, but the Bike test was literally driving around the block three times.
The tester was standing on one corner watching me go round and round.
On the second pass he jumped out for the emergency stop, then he stopped me on the third lap to tell me I had passed. Wink

Are filter lights when there are 2 or more lanes and one turns off and the other straight. So one lane can move while the other is stationery.

my car test i passed with the examiner asleep on the passengers seat, lol it cracked me up I was about to do a maneuver looked at him and he had his head up eyes closed under some big glasses didn't seem to care Laughing

still talking to me so only had his eyes closed really.
