Until my cast is taken off for good! Can't wait to get back on a bike, It has been total torture with all the fine evenings, shiny newish motorcycle in the garage and me unable to try it out!

I don't think I could ever not have a bike. You take it for granted how cool it is until your not able to ride for a while.

How do I get photos off my phone to pc? I managed to sneak some photos of the pins sticking out of my hand Sick just before the nurse got happy with the pliers and pulled them out: (PS sorry for the bits of skin still attatched, thought I'd keep them for posterity. BTW that is inches Shocked )

From the pin removal? Not really. Didn't hurt much either, suprisingly.

From the prang itself just some small abrasions on legs, I was fully kitted up. But I had a job to walk when my knees swelled up the day after, plus I ached EVERYWHERE!

What were those pins holding anyway? Was it the shoulder rather than the wrist? For a displaced fracture of the radial styloid they put a screw in my wrist, which isn't ever coming out.

Metacarpal fracture, or 'Bennett' fracture on my left thumb.
Happened on road, about 7 weeks ago now.

T'is what I had, though the part which had broken off was somewhat larger than that and further displaced. Sad

I initially thought the thumb was just dislocated, but it just wouldn't stay in place, and there were some crunching noises.
I had the option of not getting it pinned, but they reccomended it as I use my hands for work, and with the pins the bone will heal in the right place; so there less chance of long term effects. I just can't wait to get out of this cast!

The bike was quite badly damaged, unluckily during the roll the left bar end broke off and dug into the frame, putting a nice dent into it.
