Anybody used that Muc Off stuff? Never tried it myself, but was thinking of maybe trying it? you spray it on, scrub, then wash of with a hose?

It is a degreaser, as is auto gym etc. They are all pretty much the same.

They work surprisingly well, grease and dirt just muc’s off!
Not sure what you can’t put them on but wheels and engines etc it is great.

Just don’t use the stuff if you have cuts on your hands, that stuff burns. Mad

I use the after washing spray.
Its some kind of silicon spray. It supposedly helps water dispertion,
protects surfaces etc.

TBH it comes out very fast and covers your bike in the stuff. What I then have to do is go round it with a kitchen roll or soft cloth and polish it up or wipe it off.

It does give a great shiny finish though.

not used it on a motorcycle, but have used it my Mountainbike many times after a grubby ride.
Is probably the best cleaning product ive ever used, its a brillaint degreaser, and would likely work very well on wheels to remove brakes dust and other grime/grease.
Shouldnt be a problem using it on the engine, as long as you wash it off thoroughly.
Probably wouldnt let it get near an airfilter/intake though.

I was bought the Muc Off cleaning kit for my last birthday (exciting) and it's good, as long as you don't use the brushes on anything other than the wheels. The best thing is the degreasing spray, really quick to use, wet the bike, spray, wash with sponge and rinse off. It's also environmentally friendly. Thumbs Up

yeah i use it on my bike,car,van and mountain bikes! Makes them shine, it's also very good for removing brake dust!

I use Muc-Off on the 'XX' and its very good BUT don't let it dry especially on alloy and DO NOT use the brush kit with Muc-Off on the plastics as it WILL cost you a lot of hard labour to polish the marks out Embarassed

trust me, i know.

I always finish off with either Muc-Off bike spray or 'Scottoil' spray and it finishes quite good. I use MrSheen or Pledge on the plastics and find it absolutely fantastic........far better result than 'Mer', 'AutoGlym' or any other highstreet polish.

my husband and i both use muc off.. great stuff to use but be warned, do not spray on and leave for any amount of time as you'll mark the paint work...... hubby found this out when he was washing his bike and little one hurt himself, after hubby sorted him out he went to find his bike a funny colour, he had to use rubbing compound on it to get some kind of decent finish.

use furniture polish on body work etc
use wd40 on wheels etc, like grimy areas

Never thought about furniture polish! Thanks for the tip, a cheaper alternative which I'm always up for!

Muc Off! Top stuff, I originally thought it would be a con, but once I had tried the stuff I have never used anything else. The best deal is to buy in bulk. I always get the 5 litre bottle!

I used to use MucOff on my mountain bike and was never too impressed. The 99p per 2L bottle stuff from halfords works just as well if not better. WD40 is fantastic stuff, does everything(ish) and cheap too Thumbs Up

i used something similar, some castrol cleaning stuff i got from halfords of all places specially for bikes (so it says) and it is really, really good stuff cost about 7 quid a bottle and literally spray on work it in with brush and rinse. Easy as that. Great stuff and a good alternative.

I tried mr muscle on my plastics and like you said.. it worked better than my auto glym polish! great stuff, Im sure that'll save me a small fortune in the future!
I think Ive got some bees wax somewhere, I'll try that too!
