failed me test today, but only becuase of some bastrad chav in a crappy nova Evil or Very Mad i was riding towards a roundabout and he cut me up so bad that i had to swerve into the next lane which inturn made me cut someone else up. i only got 4 minors and that 1 serious. But if i didnt swerve out the way the twat would have taken me clean out Evil or Very Mad Bas**rd chavs!!!!
But on the bright side i did all the manuvers on me rs successfully, got some test experiance ready for next time. Already got me next test booked for 10th may

Alas, without knowing the exact situation it is impossible for us to say. Maybe an emergency stop would of been better. Maybe there wasn't space for that and he did the right(est) thing in a bad situation.

there wasnt really the time or space to do an emergency stop, if i hadnt of swerved then he would have taken me clean out.

I have to say well done for being mature about failing. I had my test today as well, failed with 4 minors and 1 major also, then threw a major wobbly with the examiner Twisted Evil
''wtf is this shit, the guy before me was a clown and you passed him! i had a better ride than you you tit' etc...
Embarassed

The major was for not overtaking a car doing 40mph in a 60 zone. I had the opportunity but thought 'nah ill chill- no rush'

Next op, 1st june Thumbs Down

(good luck with ur next one)

Unlucky mate Thumbs Up Annoying when other people ruin things for you.

I might play Devil's Advocate here and say poor observation/positioning. Should you have been more cautious of a chav in a Nova and prepared accordingly by backing off. Did he give any hints that he was preparing his move such as moving about in his lane, lots of head turning/obs?

Dunno just trying to think of how to predict these things.

well i just thought it was pointless having a go at the examiner, after all he is only doing his job. Shit happens and its unfortunate that other drivers can have an impact on your test, but at the end of the day its just bad luck. The examiner was a top bloke wished me well etc and maybe because i didnt argue the outcome he will maybe ignore any small mistakes that happen next time round.

Which is why he should have stayed and asked him what he should have done instead.

If he didnt, then he could do the same mistake on his next test... Neutral

I have found most instructers are very willing to explain why you failed/dropped points, but only if you show an interest in wanting to get better by asking why they failed you/dropped points.

Anyway unlucky man, hope you pass on your next attempt. Karma

Burberry cap on backwards, crap body kit, neons, Boom-Ching music, large sticker telling you what sort of ICE system he wishes he had, exhaust like a drainpipe.

All sure signs of a chav in a cage, so you should be expecting him to drive like a fcukwit.

I'm going to have to go with positioning error.

Which is fine, let's face it, you're a new rider, as am I, a mistake was made, it's ok, we all do it.

Either you were a little bit too far behind the car in front, inviting him to push in in front of you.

Maybe you were a little too close, going a little too fast.

Or third, maybe you were completely right, and he did sideswipe you. A lot of advanced riding is predicting what might happen next. So you probably should have thought "what am I going to do if he comes across me?" and sat back a bit, out of harms way.

Unluckiy for failing mate. Sounds like there was nothing you could have done and i meen nothing, if someone else makes a mistake like that the person on their test ALLWAYS gets penalised whatever, say if someone bumped you, you would fail, its just the rules. Might make thingas a little easier for next time, remember that any driver or rider has the power to fail your test. Thats why whenever i see a rider on his test i always keep back and slow the traffic for them, we gotta stick together huh?

unlucky result mate... but well done for taking it like a man.. no sense in trying to shout down the examiner.. as you said, he's just a guy doing his job...

I personally would have asked him for feedback on the major, how he would have dealt with the situation.. It may just be that you were to close, or missed a shoulder check that would have allowed a little bit of extra thought time... Dont dwell on it to much..

Good Luck for your next test...
