Anyone at Mallory Park at the weekend?
Any comments on the number of crashes and every race having to be red flagged?

I didn't go but did watch in on TV.
It certainly seems that the bikes are getting too powerful for some of the British circuits, specially when there's not enough run off, but I don't know what the answer is, unless there's enough money to make the circuits safer?
I did feel sorry for anyone at the track, as although the racing was exciting, it must of felt like a very long day!

PS - anyone know how Tommy Hill is? That was a huge highside, poor chap!

Yeah, we were there, and while the last race had to be postponed, I don't think it spoiled anything. In fact, the fact that the 2nd restart of race 2 left us with a 12 lap dash made it pretty exciting. The nasty smash in the supersport race happened just under our noses, and was really ugly, to the degree that a couple of the girls with us were starting to get a little tearful. It was an unusual day, but I don't think all the crashes (and the spectacular oil slick) ruined the fun. Thumbs Up

Must have looked worse than it was, 'cos they announced that he was concious and sat up in the medical centre about half an hour after the crash. But he'll be bloody sore this morning.

Oops, turns out they ran the last race after all, they said it would have to be put off to meet the 6pm curfew so we buggered off. Embarassed

As far as I understand it Edwinas chicane/curve/bend/whatever was put in to make it safer for cars Rolling Eyes

As far as I remember most of the accidents at Edwinas were in the first couple of laps of a race. Suspect cold tyres plus misjudging the braking point.
