As the title says, i've been wondering if anybody here as had any experience with purchasing bikes from 2B's in Tottenham, be it positive or negative experience as i've found the prices of their bikes to be very tempting, but i'm approaching with caution. I called them a year ago and struggled to negociate a price for an NSR, but in terms of personal contact with the guys, have you, would you, should you? Thanks for the help guys.

Fazer 600 - R Reg for 1800 with ONLy 8000 miles which is what makes it suspicious. Looks pristine. Alternatively, there's a 1995 GS500 with Aprilia RS250 fairings stuck on for 700 quid. Either way, i have a suspicion the bikes are NON standard and that's why i'm trying to see if anybody has had any positive experience with them, if not i'll avoid them.

There about 5 minutes walk from me. There very pikey.

Me and danny have used them before, I think they sold danny 2 bum, problem bikes.

When I used to have my NSR I took it round there because I didn't know any better.
I suspect they changed my left hand switch gear with another or at least damaged it because when I came back one day it had a large crack/gap in it.

Another time I wanted some small dinky indicators on the back, so I told them to get me some and when I go to have them fitted one of the guys had used them on his bike. Evil or Very Mad

So they put some other crappy ones on. And how did they do it? With a plastic bracket which had a small hole in it for the indicator with a plastic hook to hold onto! Not very smart on any bike let alone a 2-stroke that vibrates like mad.........
I just remember going down the road then falling off, the hook had worn away and the indicator fell into the rear wheel sending me flying.

They may always be the cheapest on bike trader but DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!

(If you absolutely have to I can pick up what you need if you like)

Why buy from a dealer? For the bike your after you'l get a much better buy going private. Seen same bike as mine at the local dealers with more millage and they want double what i paid for mine privately!!!

Rip off merchants.

I called back along, They said they had the bit I want after I had emailed them. So I asked, He was very rude saying he didnt have the bit and maybe I should try somewhere else. I was a bit confused because I had a email 10mins before saying they had the bit and asked me to call..

I emailed them back and got a reply saying they only wanted to sell the whole fairing not just one bit.

Sound like cowboys.

@ GTI - no way, I also live 5 mins away. Do you by chance live on Woodlands **** Road with an MZ and FJR?

I haven't had any bad experience with 2Bs but I reckon that would end if I actually bought something off them. I've been round several times, and they just look dodgy as fuck basically. The guy who runs the place looks constantly wired on coke. Maybe he is not, but don't rely on any 'dealer backup' as I suspect it will be a question of 'sold as seen mate' with minimal statutory rights, rather than nice plush warantees that help you sleep at night.

FYI a piece in the Spring 2005 edition of RiDE Magazine (the one with New v Used 600s on the cover). Devil dealers, page 34
Quote:
Warranties
Under new consumer law if something goes wrong with your secondhand bike within the first six months, the dealer has to fix it unless he can prove the fault was down to you and not an inherent problem with the machine. Any warranty is on top, and cannot be instead, of this legal right.

That said it sounds like there's roomm for a lot of hassle and "it was your fault" from a dealer.

HTH Thumbs Up

No gracie, I live near the lord palmerston pub on philip lane if you know it. And your right, they are dodgy as hell and toby and the other guy who runs it are pikeys. Even have a little pikey kid doing some of the work!

Wouldn't expect to have any sort of comeback if something goes wrong. Their bikes are always the cheapest for a reason.

I have been there. Went to look at an SRAD. All the bikes are kept in a roofless building. The SRAD i looked at with in a state due to rain and dirt. Also it had a 750 front end. The guy said it was for better handling but my dad and i suspected a front end crash. We just left there and then. It was a shame though because it took us about an hour and a half to get to.
