Hornet Vs Bandit 600s

which one of these is most reliable, it will be restricted but as my only transport i may be travling 60miles a day to get over to manchester and back each day, if i get this job!

I think a bandit would be more suitable. Both will be utterly reliable. Bandit for tank range though

Everyone slates the hornet tank range but yesterday i covered 102miles, 75 of which were on track and i'm still yet to hit reserve.
IMO the hornet will be more reliable and is more likely to survive a winters comuting.

Even riding like a loon you can get 140 miles to reserve on a Bandit.

For the mileage I would be tempted with a Bandit.

The Hornet is a better bike, but the Bandit has a far better fuel range and with luck you can manage 3 days commuting between trips to the petrol station. You will destroy the value of either doing that mileage, but cheap Bandits are easy to find.

The finish on a Bandit is not great but if you take a little care then that is not going to affect the reliability of the bike.

what insurance groups are they in?

Not overly sure what insurance group they are, usually one group higher for the faired bike, but insurance companies can see it different ways. They know the naked hornet is a bloody loon's bike so some will charge higher for that than the faired one.

All depends on the insurer really. Bandit should be a bit cheaper though
