I’m loving it, on the VFR at the moment, I see no reason to get rid of it as I personally think the thing looks and sounds phat.
But inevitably I am going to be bored of power, I have sifted through A LOT of bikes, there are so many turkeys out there and so many dime a dozen bikes. I have decided on the Honda VTR, but there seems to be quite a few, I know the SP1 and 2 are the names of them but I have seen some with single side arm!! WTF?!!
Is that custom job of can I get one?
What are the differences?
Also what is a good price for a second hand one.
Thanks a lot ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

FFS Killa, I wouldn't worry about a thousand cc bike until you have really outgrown the VFR fercreissakes!
I'd think about a 600 next personally... ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Keep ya bra on
I’m just planning ahead for like next year or somethign and getting to know what to avoid, it does look more likely I’ll get something like a ZX6R or something. ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

What to avoid? Well I'd be very careful if you're looking at TL1000's (both the S and the R models) as their gearboxes aren't strong, TL1000S's are known for general handling problems and frames breaking (but most have had their frames replaced by Suzuki). They are really, really nice bikes but if buying one remember that the gearboxes have a life expectancy of about 15,000-20,000 miles.
Sport 600's are a better choice IMO and IME, get one and if you get bored on it just downgear it. Worth doing as it gives the bike more acceleration in exchange for less top speed, but how often do you use (or should you be using) the 160mph top speed?

Yeah that’s what put me off the TL mate, I have been filtering out the problems and found the VTR looking like a good bet, but no I know the running cost it doesn’t look that way.
A 600 is probably the way to go, is the ZX6R a sweet bike? ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.
