We have binges thread on mopeds, but some people’s first bikes/scooters were 125,s or had a 125 in the past so let’s see them.

Arrow 2000 NSR

Arrow Derestricted.

Arrow Front L plate removed from outside of screen, and stuck to inside of screen (for more aerodynamics and 10mph higher top speed...)

Arrow Front L plate PET laminated for greater weather resistance.

Arrow Rear indicators replaced with smaller units (greater aerodynamics, and 3mph higher top speed)

Arrow polished upper and matt lower fairing panels for maximum aerodynamic stability and higher top speed (2mph higher top speed)

Arrow Brake disks coated in WD40 to allow for greater corner speed and reduced lap times.

Arrow Rear tyre coated in transmission oil to allow for "backing it in" round corners.

Arrow Piston rings and bearings removed for lower engine weight - engine now redlines at 21,000 rpm.

Arrow tyres filled with helium for lower weight and "lighter handling".

Arrow starter motor removed for lower weight - bike is started via bump starting.bike dry weight now 112 kilograms.

Arrow head bearings deliberatley borked, allowing for lightning fast turn-in.

Arrow Fitted three of ste's powerbands, one from 1-3k, one from 3-6k and one from 10-15k.

Arrow Size "C" oversize rebore - total power output now 38.2bhp.

Arrow sprockets replaced with "lego" gears to save on unsprung weight.

Top speed - 123 (Indicated) 110 (actual)

This is probably the fastest NSR you'll ever see. From the lights, it's beaten an R6, a Ferrari Enzo and an F4-1000 up to 75mph! Very Happy Thumbs Up

NSR 125 2001 Model

Arrow Front 'L' Plate placed on front mud-guard to allow for 'Head to Tank' resting without being obscured by a rather large white square on the visor... allowing that extra 10mph at top end when hiding from the wind.
Arrow 'Flush Mounted' front indicator units to reduce air resitance at speeds >45mph
Arrow Reduced weight / length bar ends to improve handling and allow for a greater angle of lean when getting your clutch and brake levers down...
Arrow Vent panel removed from right hand side mid fairing panel to allow for faster air flow through the fairing plastics...
Arrow 'Micron' sticker on can and 'EBC Brakes' sticker to get those all important looks from people who dont know better Thumbs Up
Arrow Smaller size rear indicators for reduced drag whilst getting the all important 'Levers Down'
Arrow Italic number plate, because everyone knows italics are faster because of the lean they entail... thus meaning the letters are leaning away from the wind, greater aerodynamics...
Arrow Car Bumper Poppy attatched around ignition barrel to increase the patriotic value allready started by the England flag tank cover Very Happy

Ok, just to stop the hondas from taking over heres a snap of my 2000W RS125 that the nob head I sold it to dropped and ruined!

It was totally standard apart from the powervalve I put on it because it didnt have one when I bought it. Lovely little bike shame I never had the room and the cash to keep it!

I forgot to mention that my mid fairing grills are also missing to save on total weight, and to aid air flow through the panels, thus allowing for superior radiator cooling and keeping the engine temperatures down, thereby adding 4bhp Razz.

I got it in jan '04 and I'm still riding her Cool .

Heres the old bird.

99 model RS125, Rossi replica.

Stock, with the exception of being down geared for wheelie power. Wink Picture was taken a few days before it was sold. Last I heard from the lad who bought it was a seizure at the crank. Rolling Eyes He soon sold it on at a fair loss shortly after.

Anyway, here she is, soaking up the sun. Mr. Green

To add a little bodged german class to the thread my old MZ ETZ 125.

I liked it so much I bought a 250.

https://www.gaz-racing.co.uk/bike/xj600/DSCI0114.JPG

Click for the pic, if I [img'd] it it would be massive, and I'm too lazy to resize then re upload.

You'll also spy Paulodd's CG125.
