Just wondering what you lot thought about the mayday run?

I thought it was good and enjoyed the ride down there and chilling out for a bit.

It was cool to see the amount of us there were!

Bring on the streetfighter sunday at the ace cafe!! Razz

It kicked arse - riding out was a bit regrettable cos i am now filled with envy and anger towards my parent into not letting me opt for a second hand bike which was cheaper - my bike caned it through the corners only to be kept back on the motorways. Shame about the A21 incident though.

Well, I thought you knew the way back and was going your own way back home so I was worried that I would follow you back to your house back to some odd part of the country so I started looking for signs about 10 miles back and saw signs for Maidstone and Ashford. I heard of those places before but could not remember where they were so I just carried on hoping for a new sign with somewhere where I knew. Laughing

weather was very good, and l,ve never been on such a large ride out. BCF were taking the whole of the M25 up riding in formation at one point Laughing and people from around haystings were waving from bridges or just sitting out side there homes watching the hundreds of bikes go bye.

That part was quite amusing, I felt sorry for car drivers trying to get on or off the motorway.

Bloody good day, certainly got a chance to practice my filtering (sure most of it wasn't legal though). Had a good ride back down the A259. Most of the cage drivers were being nice as well.

and im also pretty sure that most of the filtering was not legal but hey Twisted Evil

got back to coventry at 10pm...all in all 654km on my nsr125...and it didnt go bang!

I thought it was legal to overtake on double solid whites if the traffic is less that 10mph , or is that a single solid white?

I didn't think twice about filtering then, no way we were staying in that traffic. Did have to watch out for oncoming bikes though. Rolling Eyes

Well at least all of us got home safely. I was wondering where Ranger and Ric went after i made that turning - Did you do a U turn cos i clearly didn't see you in my mirrors? I was following on with the group ahead of me. I was heading towards ashford and then i realised i was heading away from london - my immediate waypoint was maidstone, where i then met up with the people in the pack i was following. It was a good ride. I felt a bit more comfortable having the road to myself at one point so i could take safer lines around corners.

As long as you don't cross the double white lines it's legal - I filtered passed a police car the other day on doubles and they didn't care.

So yes, most of the filtering down the A21 was illegal Thumbs Up Twisted Evil

I went straight on then did a U turn back. Then I went atleast 100mph at some points to try and catch up but it seems you did not wait Rolling Eyes
