FOR SALE - Aprilia RS 125

Here is my 2000 model (W reg) Aprilia RS 125 for sale.

Note:
The RS is currently a non runner. I was on it on the 2nd May (2 weeks after a new piston kit was fitted) when it started loosing power and within 2 mins its gradually cut out.

The bike has now lost compression! I haven't looked at the damage. I can tell you there was no loud BANG or NOISES from the engine when it cut out, the bike gradually cut out, like when a bike runs out of petrol.

From what ive asked in the general bike chat forum, ive been told ive nipped a piston ring up. So the damage isnt to bad.

The clutch and gearbox will still be in perfect working order. I changed the gearbox oil last week. The carb and air filter were also cleaned last week.

Im looking for a quickish sale as i need the room for my new KTM.

The bike also requires a new rear shock as it has lost damping and the rear sprocket is quite worn.

I think the speedo cable/drive must have gone aswell as i noticed when i was last on the bike the speedo wasnt working. I aint sure if its the speedo drive/cable as i havent looked as this is least of the problems. the mileage on the bike is just over 14,000 khms.

The bike also has 6 months mot/tax.

Would be a nice project for someone who knows what they are doing and wouldn't cost much to get running again.

I would keep it myself and get it running but as i have just bought a KTM 125 sx i want to concentrate on that.

the bike is FULL POWER and i have a 2 spare brand new 14 and 16 tooth front sprockets and a spare seat lock with key.
