Fucking pisses me off, but my big boss has a immaculete 00' Duke 996, He rode it to work the other day, and the only reason why he did was to get it MOT'ed, it seems that he is a proper summer biker, though saying that his chicken strips aren't that big!
then today one of the office girls asked him why he wasn't riding his bike, his answer was that it was was not ideal weather and bikes are not designed for this sort of weather! Brick Wall

looking out the window the sun was shining with a few grey clouds. o.k if he wants to keep his bike in just out of the crate nick, fair enough, but i don't understand why he doesn't buy a bike to use through the winter/spring, its not like he is short of a bob or too.
really annoys me to see such a bike not used to the full

I try and look at it this way:
If everyone thrashed their bikes: There would be no low-mileage older bike bargains and bikers would get a lot worse reputation.

Always thought the 996 was made for posing anyway Razz

Maybe he just uses it when he feels like it. May not be often at all. I have a race tuned scrambler that i only use like twice a year.

If I had the cash I'd probably buy plenty of things I hardly ever use. It his progative, if he's got the money and wants one why not.

In fact I bought a car in Febuary, supposed to be learning to drive, and I've only driven it about four times since. This time of year is not the weather for cars. Wink

I can't wait till I have the choice to be a fair weather biker - I most definately will. I've wrecked my previously very good condition AR125 from riding it through winter so don't want to wreck something else too.

Chicken strips are the dark bits on the edges of a tyre where you can see they haven't been used. The thicker the strip, the less the bike has been leant over.
