A friend of my uncle bought a crash damaged F4 a few months ago and fixed a bit of it. He was looking £2500 for the 00 bike wtih 7k on the clock and one owner. Had a look today but it still had a lot of work to do - left and right fairings were badly scuffed still and a few other marks here and there. In the end I decided not to bother. Stunning bike though, he has had it out a few times and says other bikers nearly crash looking at it. Riding position was strange in that you sit very high perched above the bike rather than sitting low into it. Anyone ever had/been on one? I have to say I've only ever seen 3 in my life.

Cor yeah luvely aren't they Razz

Sell brand new ones at a place just down the road from me and they look the absolute tits. Nicest view is from the back with the four pipe exhaust. Basic model starts from about £13k though Crying or Very sad

Think I'd be tempted to but one for £2.5 k and just have it in me living room to gaze at.

They are wanking material arn't they? I was thinking of buying it with the view to get her mint again and insure it when I was 21 (sell my house to insure it). Definately a once in a lifetime chance but oh well.

If the damage is only cosmetic, send it off to Dream machine for a respray. Good excuse for a custom painted MV.

If its 2.5k with 7k on the clock...

Its too good to be true even with 'scuffed' fairings.

If its been crashed and run on its side, it may well go the same way as my TT600 Sad

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

£2.5k, would it not cost you that and more to insure it over in NI?

Hi

Even a very high quality respray and repair on the fairings would cost you £1000 at the very most (based on the £750 quote for a standard colour respray on the Bimota from Dream Machine).

Think it would depend on what else needs fixing. Cheapest one of that mileage on Autotrader is about £7k this week.

Assuming is is a cat c or d then it is probably well worth having.

All the best

Keith

It has been on the computer in 2001 and 2004 so chances are it could be awkward to sell, plus I'd be wary as I'm sure the frames on these things can't really withstand being down the road twice. Confused

A dealer/enthusiast is taking it now instead with the view put her back in shape.
